Accessibility Statement
Ardent Quality Care is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of disability, device or assistive technology.
1. Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to read our content, understand our services and get in touch with us. We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining this site rather than as an afterthought, and we review it when we make significant changes.
2. Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disability. They have three levels of conformance: A, AA and AAA.
This website substantially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Substantially conforms” means the site meets the Level AA success criteria in the areas we have tested, but has not been through a formal independent audit, so we cannot claim full conformance.
3. What we have done
Specific measures in place on this site include:
- A “skip to content” link as the first item in the tab order, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
- Full keyboard operability, including the mobile navigation menu, which reports its open or closed state to assistive technology and is removed from the tab order when closed.
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Text and background colour combinations that meet the Level AA contrast minimums.
- Content that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel viewport, and at 200% browser zoom.
- Layout that tolerates increased line, letter and word spacing without text being clipped or overlapping.
- Meaningful alternative text on informative images, and empty alt attributes on decorative ones so screen readers skip them.
- Form fields with correctly associated visible labels and appropriate autocomplete attributes.
- A single logical heading structure per page, with landmark regions for header, navigation, main content and footer.
- Animation and parallax movement that is switched off automatically when your device or browser is set to reduce motion.
- A declared page language, so screen readers use the correct pronunciation.
4. Known limitations
We want to be straightforward about where this site falls short:
- No independent audit. Our testing has been carried out in-house. We have not commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit or certification.
- No testing with people with disability. We have not yet run usability sessions with people who use screen readers, magnification, voice control or switch access day to day. Automated and manual testing cannot substitute for this.
- Third-party font service. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. If that service is slow or blocked, text may briefly render in a fallback typeface.
- Documents. Any PDF or document we send you directly as part of an engagement may not meet the same standard as these web pages. Tell us if you need a document in an accessible or alternative format and we will provide one.
5. How we assessed this site
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out on 21 August 2026, combining:
- Automated testing of every page against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 Level A and AA rulesets, at both desktop and mobile viewport sizes, which returned no violations.
- Manual testing of keyboard-only navigation, focus order and focus visibility, reflow at 320 pixels and at 200% zoom, the text-spacing override, and the reduced-motion preference.
Automated tools can only detect a portion of accessibility problems, which is why we describe our status as substantial rather than full conformance.
6. Feedback
If you encounter a barrier on this site, or need information from it in a different format, please tell us. Include the page address and a short description of the problem and the assistive technology or browser you were using, if you know it.

Telephone: 0424 242 373
Office hours: Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm AEST
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five business days and will tell you what we intend to do about it. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will offer an alternative way to get the information or service you need.
7. Formal complaints
In Australia, the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) makes it unlawful to discriminate against a person on the basis of disability, including in the provision of information and online services. If you are not satisfied with our response to your feedback, you can make a complaint to the Australian Human Rights Commission at humanrights.gov.au or by telephone on 1300 656 419.
8. Review
We review this statement when we make a significant change to the site, and at least once a year. The “last reviewed” date at the top of this page shows when it was last checked.
